Product: Xline Systems - Diesel Van-Mounted Hot Water System - 5.5 and 9.0 kW Models

Hazard: The product presents a high risk of asphyxiation as it was not supplied with operating instructions or installation information to protect against accidental inhalation of carbon monoxide.

Corrective action: The product was temporarily withdrawn from the market and has been brought into conformity.

The product was not supplied with operating instructions or installation information. It burns diesel fuel and is designed to be fitted inside an enclosed vehicle but was not fitted with a carbon monoxide (CO) detector. Incorrect installation, incorrect use and a lack of appropriate servicing and maintenance may lead to a risk of carbon monoxide and fire. The product was not CE or UKCA marked and was not supplied with a Declaration of Conformity.

The product was not in conformity with the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.

The product was temporarily withdrawn from the market. A new conformity assessment has been undertaken. New use and installation instructions have been written and these, along with CO monitors, have been provided to existing users.
